Presenting at a Microsoft User Group can be daunting, but ultimately very rewarding both personally and professionally.
You get the chance to demonstrate your expertise and real-world experience to a group of community-minded peers, as well as prove to your boss that you actually do know what you’re talking about!
But don’t despair if you don’t feel like an expert in absolutely everything related to Azure, because there are two types of presentations we have at the Brisbane Azure User Group.
- This 15-20 minute session is low on slides and code & demo heavy. The idea is to show how to solve one specific problem or demo one very specific feature related to the Azure platform, such as how to use Intellitrace to debug an Azure worker role, or how to configure auto-scaling of your worker roles with WASABIi.
- This 45-60 min session uses slides to educate about the technology, and lots of demos of a variety of features. For example, it might be on the various storage options available to you in the Azure, and how to work with them using REST and .NET API’s.
If you have experience with a particular aspect of the Azure platform that you think others might find interesting, please don’t hesitate to get in touch and talk about what sort of session you might be able to present.
